Congratulations to our boys and girls swim teams on an amazing District meet this past weekend.

The Boys competed at the AA level finishing 11th overall. Mike Marcella brought home a 6th place medal in the 200 IM and a 5th place medal in the 100 Backstroke. Jeff DeRocco grabbed a couple 11th place finishes in the 200 IM and the 100 Breaststroke. And Mason DeRocco added points with 12th and 11th place finishes in the 200 Freestyle and the 500 Freestyle, respectively. The relay team of J. DeRocco, M. DeRocco, Jake Middleton, and Marcella finished 8th against strong competition in both the 200 and 400 Free Relays.

In the AAA meet, each member of the Girls' District Team contributed to their 5th place team finish. Casey Cabonilas led the team, becoming a two-time District Silver Medalist in the 50 Freestyle and the 100 Backstroke. Maggie Huertero swam to a 7th place finish in the 200 IM, and was a strong member of all 3 relay teams. The Medley Relay of Vicky Ortiz, McKenzie Ball, Huertero, and Taylor Bartle finished 7th. And the relay teams of Ortiz, Huertero, Kaleah Moran, and Cabonilas earned medals with their 5th place finish in the 200 Free Relay and 6th place finish in the 400 Free Relay.
